In an effort to provide the nuclear power industry a "complete solution", a strategic alliance has just been
announced between Energy Steel & Supply Co. of Auburn Hills, Michigan, and MPR Associates Inc. of Alexandria,
Virginia. Its purpose is to provide equipment and services to nuclear power plants that bundle engineering, analysis,
and design to include furnishing of materials, machining, fabrication, and ASME Code welding services. Energy
Steel and MPR will offer such bundled services and equipment as a complete package to their
customers. The core belief underlying the purpose of this alliance is that a bundled solution encompassing the capabilities
of both Energy Steel and MPR will provide you with a cheaper, better, faster, safer
solution than obtainable through the traditional approach.
MPR brings 37 years of engineering excellence and is known throughout the nuclear industry. They will
provide project management, technical consulting, engineering, and design services.
Energy Steel brings 19 years of material supply, machining, and fabrication services to the nuclear
industry exclusively. They will provide project management, technical input, and a wide variety of nuclear machining
and fabrication options as well as ASME Code welding services. Energy Steel currently possesses ASME Certification
for "N", "NPT-TP", "U", and "R" processes.
