MPR Associates, Inc., of Alexandria, VA, and Basler Electric of Highland, IL, have teamed to provide service for and retrofit of Basler Voltage Regulators and Exciters for Nuclear Utility Standby Diesel Generators. These are provided under MPR's 10CFR50, Appendix B, Quality Assurance Program. Both digital and analog retrofit packages are available for all currently in-service Standby Generators.

In addition to this current teaming, in 1999 MPR and Basler Electric established an exclusive agreement for MPR to provide services to nuclear utilities employing Basler Voltage Regulators and Exciters on standby diesel generators. The products and services offered by the MPR-Basler team include:

• nuclear qualified spare parts and replacement units,
• troubleshooting and root cause evaluations,
• design modifications or enhancements,
• field support including installation and testing, and
• licensing support.

The MPR-Basler team also offers both analog replacements for existing voltage regulators as well as digital upgrades. The team also plans to provide upgrade paths for owners of NEI Peebles, Vickers and Westinghouse voltage regulator/exciter systems.
