First-of-a-Kind Liposuction System MPR was asked by a start-up company with an innovative core technology to develop the Phaser™ Lipoplasty System, to allow for more effective tissue removal during liposuction procedures. By identifying and employing specific pressures and temperatures, adipose tissue may be removed with this system without burning or otherwise damaging non-target tissues within the surgical field. MPR performed initial testing to characterize this technology, as well as conceptualization, proof-of-concept development, detailed engineering, and verification and validation activities. By working concurrently with our industrial design service, HUCKdesign℠, the new liposuction system was delivered from sketch to FDA submission in twelve months. The device has now been cleared by the FDA. |
