Cell Isolation Technology In response to a client’s idea to manufacture a device that would isolate adipose-derived adult stem cells for use in regenerative medicine, MPR developed a unique automated cell separation technology and equipment to substantially streamline the tissue manipulation process. MPR performed all of the industrial design and detailed engineering work for the durable device and patented disposable multi-chamber centrifuge bowl, allowing for an increase in the quality and quantity of ready-to-use endothelial cells in one hour. MPR assembled and built nine units for commercial service and supplied 2,000 disposable kits for clinical studies. Development of this new system was taken from napkin sketch to operational device in ten months. |
